Our Story

India's first early stage entrepreneurship support community for sustaining entrepreneurship through support, access to mentors and new markets. 

Startup India became a member of Startup Nations (a part of GEN Global) to represent India amongst 80 countries in highlighting its entrepreneurship ecosystem and engage in policy dialogues and discussions to stregthen entrepreneurship ecosystem in India. 

Established Startup India as a privately held company under Indian Companies Act 2013 on 15th July 2015.

Startup India participated in Global Entrepreneurship Congress 2015 in Milan, Italy and initiated dialogues to establish GEN India (as part of GEN Global).

Startup India led by Yatin K Thakur represented India at Startup Nations Summit 2015 held in Monterrey, Mexico. 

Startup India led by Yatin K Thakur led the Indian delegation at GEC 2016 held in Meddelin, Columbia and won the award "Rookie Nation of the Year". Startup India also got the mandate to establish GEN India.

Startup India Advisory launched Milestone Maker International Program 2017 of NASDAQ entrepreneurial Center in India that aimed to lend a helping hand to early-to-mid-stage founders in achieving crucial milestones for 15 Indian startups & make their business a roaring success. 8 out of 15 startups raised investments in less than 6 months from completion of the program.

India’s largest virtual incubator, was launched in July 2020 to enable the most talented entrepreneurs to create, sustain & scale their ventures in the new age of entrepreneurship with a special focus on pandemic hit founders and ventures. 

With a successful global footprint, Startup India Advisory Services was renamed to Startup Global Advisory Services Private Limited w.e.f 18th September 2020.
